The Puez Aqua is a 2.5-layer hardshell jacket for kids with a waterproof Powertex® membrane made from 57 percent recycled materials. The fabric is reliably waterproof and has a water column rating of 10,000 millimeters. The water column rating describes the pressure required for water to penetrate the fabric. Nevertheless, with a breathability rating of 10,000 g/m²/24 h, the jacket remains extremely breathable: Within 24 hours, 10 liters of water vapor can evaporate per square meter—ensuring a comfortable body climate even during strenuous activities. The design and features of this hardshell jacket are engineered for full functionality during alpine hikes and trekking tours: When conditions turn rough, the storm hood and elastic cuffs protect against cold, wetness, and wind. At the same time, the Puez Aqua features fully taped seams and waterproof zippers to keep you dry even in heavy rain. Small items like nuts, energy bars, or gloves fit easily into the two large zippered side pockets, and the reflective detail on the hood also ensures better visibility in bad weather. To meet the high social and environmental standards of the SALEWA® Committed collection, the Puez Aqua is made from recycled materials and features a PFC-free, durable water-repellent (DWR) coating.
