With a strong focus on sustainability, Protective uses bio-based materials such as Sorona® polyamide in its manufacturing process and relies on PFAS-free water-repellent treatments to protect your health and the environment. Kapok fibers, which serve as an eco-friendly alternative to animal-based materials, underscore Protective’s commitment to sustainable and animal-friendly production. FLOCUS (KAPOK)
At PROTECTIVE Sports, protecting nature is our top priority, and we actively put this into practice. We consciously avoid using animal-based insulation such as feathers and down, opting instead for natural or synthetic fibers. In close collaboration with FLOCUS™, we use plant-based fibers from the kapok tree, which have proven ideal for padding and are also well-suited for T-shirts thanks to their unique properties. This project with FLOCUS™ is particularly close to our hearts and underscores our commitment to sustainable and animal-friendly production.
PFAS-free
At PROTECTIVE Sports, we attach particular importance to producing our sportswear completely PFAS-free. PFAS are a group of chemical compounds that are harmful to health and the environment and are still used in many consumer products such as textiles, coatings and cleaning agents. These are difficult or impossible to biodegrade and are distributed in the environment, meaning that they can also accumulate in drinking water and organisms. Our PFAS-free sportswear offers you a high level of protection against moisture and dirt without the use of problematic chemicals. Instead, we use PFAS-free impregnations and membranes. So you can concentrate on your activities without having to worry about health or ecological risks.
