Abisko Pathfinder's 3Lpants are Shellpants made from innovative and renewable 100% bio-based polyamides derived from vegetable oils and food waste, resulting in a much lower footprint throughout the production process, for example three times less greenhouse gas emissions compared to regular polyamidepants. The completely PFC-free water repellent treatment in combination with the electrospun membrane results in a durable outdoorcompanion with a superior soft feel, good breathability and waterproofness. The pants have been made with high quality fabrics and zippers to last for many years. In close cooperation with the fabric supplier, a completely new material has been created. During development, the focus was on creating a particularly environmentally friendly garment made of waterproof fabric with high breathability. The Shell trousers are waterproof and have taped seams. The fabric has high breathability, which is perfect for trekking, hiking or other activities with a higher activity level. The trousers are lightweight and therefore ideal for carrying in a backpack. The fabric is designed for high activity and has mechanical stretch that ensures good comfort during all types of movement, while the construction ensures an exceptional fit. There are four zippered pockets and the leg cuffs are reinforced and can be adjusted with a drawstring. The legs also feature zippers that can be opened from both the top and bottom for ventilation when needed. All zippers are of the YKK Aquaguard® zipper type, which is water-repellent so that no water can penetrate. The waist can be adjusted with an integrated belt, whose belt loops are equipped with small fabric hooks on which you can hang your equipment if necessary. In the event of extreme weather conditions or an accident during your adventure, the pants also have an integrated RECCO® reflector. RECCO® is a rescue technique used by organized rescue teams to locate people lost in the wilderness or buried in an avalanche. The reflector can be described as a small antenna that is integrated into the pants and is therefore always with you. It is always active as it is not powered by batteries and does not need to be started. In the field, the rescue team uses a RECCO® detector, which emits a signal that hits the reflector and bounces back so that the reflector can be located.
