    Mountain Equipment Paiyu Mens Jacket

The Paiyu men's jacket from Mountain Equipment sets new standards in terms of thermal performance and functionality. This down jacket combines a 2-layer offset-chamber construction with a heat-reflective inner layer that provides exceptional insulation while remaining lightweight and compact. The DRILITE® LOFT 40D outer material is completely windproof and highly water-repellent thanks to the PFC-free DWR finish.
With a filling of 269g (Gr. L) down in a 90/10 ratio and a fill power of at least 700 cuin, the Paiyu jacket offers excellent thermal insulation. The insulated, helmet-compatible and fully adjustable mountain hood also protects you from extreme weather conditions. The 2-Wege-Front-Zipper by YKK® allows flexible ventilation and easy donning and doffing.
Practical details such as two zippedside pockets, two chest pockets, an inside pocket for valuables and two spacious meshinside pockets provide plenty of storage space for your essentials. Adjustable cuffs and a two-piece drawstring at the waist ensure a perfect fit and additional protection against wind and cold. The jacket comes with a pack sack, making it ideal for transportation and storage.
With an outer- and inner material made of 100% polyamide and a 100% down filling, this jacket is not only functional, but also particularly durable. The Paiyu jacket is the perfect choice for demanding tours at high altitudes and in remote areas.

    Technologies and manufacturing processes

    • Down 700

Our duck down contains at least 90% down, has a fillpower of at least 700 cuin and is DOWN CODEX® certified.
    • Down Codex

The DOWN CODEX® is more than a collection of rules - it is a promise that the down in all our products is sourced in compliance with the strictest animal welfare guidelines. Supply chains are 100% transparent and the quality of down batches is viewable and traceable online.
    • Drilite Loft

DRILITE® Loft is the name of our PU-coated outer material used in down and synthetic jackets and sleeping bags. It is lightweight, very breathable, windproof and water repellent.
    • Fair Wear

Mountain Equipment has been a member of the non-profit organization "Fair Wear Foundation" since 2012 and is thus committed to implementing the highest standards for socially just working conditions in all operating and production facilities.
    • Offset Construction

The unique, patent-pending 2-layer offset chamber construction provides more wind protection and thermal insulation than previous down jacket constructions. In addition, thanks to narrow chambers, it is significantly more comfortable to wear than comparably warm but often bulky boxwall jackets. To achieve this, quilted down chambers are sewn to a heat-reflecting inner layer in a staggered pattern. This eliminates cold bridges and provides maximum warmth.
