ASTM F1952:

The ASTM F1952 standard for downhill racing helmets is significantly more stringent than traditional standards for bicycle helmets and is the only standardized test that evaluates the safety of the chin guard. The Vanguard exceeds the ASTM limits for deflection by 40%. An ASTM-certified helmet offers significantly more protective coverage and is tested at higher impact speeds and energies.

NTA 8776:

The NTA 8776 standard is the only safety standard specifically developed for S-pedelecs. NTA certification demonstrates that the Bluegrass Vanguard can absorb significantly more impact energy. The shell also has a larger tested protection area around the two most vulnerable areas of the head: the neck and the temples.

UNIQUE CHEEK PAD DESIGN:

Our unique cheek pad design ensures maximum ventilation thanks to its C-shape, as it does not block the ventilation openings in the chin strap. The cheek pads are designed to make it easier to put on the helmet and can be positioned to fit each individual.

With its chin strap, the Vanguard is designed for breathability and safety—and exceeds both goals. Warm air escapes easily through the central vent, so you can breathe easily even on the steepest climbs. The removable mudguard attaches easily to the chin guard and protects you from splashes on muddy days.

SAFETY RELEASE AND FLEXIBLE VISOR:

The visor is integrated into the shell of MTB helmets and must be carefully designed to be protective, stylish, and safe. The Vanguard Core features a flexible breakaway visor that prevents the neck from twisting during impacts from any angle.
