The Theory by La Sportiva is a specially developed indoorclimbing shoe that adapts perfectly to the shapes and volumes of modern indoorclimbing. Thanks to its extreme sensitivity and high dynamics, this shoe offers unique adaptability to edges and holds, making it ideal for use in the climbing gym. The development is based on a comprehensive study by La Sportiva's R&D department on the gripping behavior of gorillas and the sensitivity of cat paws, as well as on the latest trends in indoor climbing route design, which are characterized by wide volumes and dynamic movements.
The Theory is designed to deliver maximum power and dexterity while maintaining maximum sensitivity on any type of grip. The innovative D-Tech™ technology (Dynamic Technology) ensures that the sole wraps around the side of the shoe and makes the edges disappear, enabling dynamic stepping and adaptability to modern indoor grips. The Vibram® XS-Grip2 sole with differentiated thicknesses at the toe supports grip on edges, while the reduced heel offers maximum precision when heelhooking.
The Theory's rubber toe covers 90% of the front surface of the upper and effectively supports the toe hook while adapting to different foot types. The overall construction of the boot facilitates the application of pressure on the volumes of modern indoorroutes and provides excellent support when cross-kicking. The upper Velcro fastener also enables optimum tension regulation and ensures a secure fit.
