The Biopod DownWool-Hybrid Ice Alpin is an innovative winter sleeping bag that has been specially developed for cold mountain tours. It features DownWool-Hybrid insulation and an ingenious chamber construction that ensures optimum sleeping comfort. For additional safety, an optional carbonheating element can be retrofitted to provide cozy warmth in an emergency at temperatures around freezing point. The particular advantage of the DownWool-Hybrid construction is that the down always stays dry. While moisture condenses on the inside of the outer fabric in conventional sleeping bags and can drip onto the down, a layer of AlmWool prevents this problem. The wool draws moisture away from the high-quality, RDS-certified goose down (with a fill power of 800+ cuin) and wicks it away to the outside. In this way, the insulation capacity of the down is fully retained. Another advantage of DownWool-Hybrid sleeping bags is the wider temperature range in which they offer pleasant warmth. Wool acts like a natural air conditioning system and compensates for temperature fluctuations. This reduces the energy the body has to expend to regulate temperature, which leads to a more restful sleep. Thanks to the ultra-light, robust and recycled fabrics, the sleeping bags are also light and compact to stow away. The elaborate chamber system, consisting of box and H chambers in V shape as well as additional side chambers, ensures even heat distribution and prevents cold bridges. As a result, the down always stays in place and does not slip. The optional retrofittable Carbon heating element can be operated with a commercially available power bank and is ideal for preheating the sleeping bag for 10-15 minutes after a strenuous tour, which supports the body's regeneration. Another practical detail are the anti-slip studs, which prevent the sleeping bag from slipping off the sleeping mat and thus ensure a stable sleeping place. In addition, Grüezi bag® products are certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, which means that they do not contain any harmful substances and can be used without hesitation.
