The upper is made of high-quality suede and microfiber, which have been treated with a water-repellent, PFC-free finish. The Michelin outsole with Climbing Zone ensures optimal grip and is ideal for via ferrata and challenging approaches. A special highlight is the extended lacing system that reaches all the way to the toe cap, allowing for precise adjustment and a perfect fit. The Heel Lock System provides additional heel support and prevents the foot from slipping inside the shoe.
The Akron GTX features Add® technology, which is based on the asymmetry of the feet and ensures a perfect fit. The Ortholite® insole provides lightweight, breathable comfort during long hikes. The MICHELIN® off-road sole combines different rubber compounds to improve climbing performance without compromising flexibility.
