The Tommy Caldwell Eco Dry CT 9.3 mm from Edelrid is a dynamic single rope designed specifically for challenging climbing routes and big walls. Developed in collaboration with renowned climber Tommy Caldwell, this rope impresses with its robust construction and excellent handling. Its small diameter and light weight make it ideal for alpine climbing and hiking.
A standout feature of this rope is Color Tec technology, which allows for a distinct color change between the two halves of the rope and provides a permanent center marker. This ensures additional safety and visibility while climbing. The Thermo Shield treatment gives the rope a comfortable feel, while the 3D Lapcoiling technique ensures that it is ready for immediate use and does not form kinks.
The rope features a special Eco Dry finish that makes it water- and dirt-repellent. This property was confirmed in the UIAA Water-Repellent Test, in which the rope demonstrated measurably lower water absorption. With a higher proportion of sheath material and manufactured on a 48-shuttle braiding machine, the Edelrid rope ensures a fine sheath structure and high abrasion resistance, making it particularly durable.
