Edelrid Kids Shield
The Kids Shield from Edelrid is the ideal companion for young adventurers who want to let off steam while hiking and climbing. The helmet stands out thanks to its child-friendly design and well-thought-out construction. Thanks to its lightweight in-mold design—which consists of a foamed EPS core and a sturdy polycarbonate shell—the helmet offers optimal protection with minimal weight. Its safety certification in accordance with EN 12492 ensures comprehensive impact protection on the sides as well as at the front and back of the head.
The fully adjustable chin strap is particularly practical; its side-mounted buckles ensure a high level of comfort. The Airflow System, with its generous ventilation openings, guarantees comfortable airflow, keeping your head cool even during intense activities. The ergonomic inner shape and the removable, washable padding provide additional comfort.
The helmet is also equipped with a redesigned Wing Fit system, which allows for optimal adjustment to any head shape via a dial at the back of the head. The four sturdy headlamp clips provide a secure hold for headlamps, and the orange release mechanism, along with the Wing Fit system, ensure that the helmet meets the requirements of EN 1078 for bicycle helmets.
