The facts at a glance
Edelrid Demon Auto
The Demon Auto by Edelrid is a technical crampon designed specifically for demanding ice climbing and mixed climbing routes. With a durable spring steel bridge and hardened steel front crampons featuring a patented cut, it offers the ultimate grip on steep ice. The special geometry and arrangement of the crampons ensure a secure grip even on varying ice conditions, such as cauliflower ice and ice scales.
These crampons are unisex and suitable for a wide range of activities, including hiking, ice climbing, and alpine climbing. They can be quickly and easily converted from a dual-point to a single-point configuration, with each front point replaceable separately using just one screw. The continuously adjustable automatic binding is compatible with crampon-ready mountaineering and ski boots, and size adjustment requires no tools. Thanks to the innovative strap buckle with a quick-release function, it can be easily operated even while wearing gloves.
The Demon Auto stands out for its minimal pack size and comes with sturdy anti-slip plates that can be secured without screws. It is compatible with all EDELRID binding types and crampon components and comes with two additional short front points for reduced leverage on rock and mixed climbing routes. The high-quality steel construction features an abrasion-resistant coating to ensure a long service life.
