The smaller models of the Z4, such as the #0, are equipped with a single-strand cable design that prevents kinking and minimizes overall size, while the larger version with a double-twisted cable allows for even flex in all directions. With the sandblasted surface of the four clamping segments, the Z4 Camalot offers excellent holding power to withstand even the most demanding conditions. The compact head width, reminiscent of the old Camalot C3design, enables secure placement even in the narrowest cracks.

- For our top athletes in trad climbing, Hazel Findlay, Carlo Traversi, Sam Elias and Babsi Zangerl, the Camalot Z4 was a dream come true - a Camalot with a center bar that remains rigid during placement and then transitions into a "flex mode". We have realized it - the patent-pending RigidFlex center bar. The independently laid tension wires ensure that the Camalot Z4 remains completely rigid while it is under tension and the clamping segments are folded in. Once in place, the center bar can move, preventing it from moving when cable tension is applied. The center bar of the larger Camalots is equipped with a double-twisted cable construction that allows for even flex in all directions. The single cable design on the smaller cams avoids kinking when the pull lever is heavily loaded and reduces the overall size. The head width is similar to the old Camalot C3 design. With four sandblasted clamping segments for even better holding power, the Z4s are not only an improvement, but also available in even smaller sizes - starting at #0, our smallest Camalot ever made, all the way up to .75.
