Cut slightly narrower than the Recon Stretch Shell, the Recon LT Shell combines Black Diamond's waterproof and BD.dry™ solution with a lightweight ripstop fabric to provide an outstanding three-layer combination of durability, protection and minimal weight. The Recon LT's minimalist feature set includes two backpack-compatible hand pockets that provide enough room for gloves, hat and a headlamp. The ski helmet-compatible hood completes the overall picture and provides additional protection in bad weather.

BD.Dry 3L
Like the 2.5L fabrics, the BD.dry 3L fabrics also have a DWR coating. Instead of an open-pored inner coating, however, these fabrics have a hydrophilic membrane that allows water vapor to pass through. There is a third layer of jersey on the back of this fabric, which feels pleasant against the skin and wicks moisture away in the form of vapor through the hydrophilic membrane. How to measure
- 1. Collar circumference:Measured around the larynx. Measured at the level of the larynx. The tape should not constrict and must be passed around the neck horizontally.
- 2. Chest:Measure the circumference at the widest part of the chest (under the armpits)
- 3. Sleeve length:The distance from top of shoulder joint to arm wrist. Angle the arm slightly and pass the tape through the elbow as well.
- 4. Waist:Measured the waist circumference below the navel. The measuring tape should not constrict the belly keeping the tape horizontal around the body.
- 5. Hips:Measure the hips circumference at the fullest part of the seat keeping the tape horizontal around the body.
