Black Diamond Expedition Carbon Pro Whippet
The Expedition Carbon Pro Whippet from Black Diamond is the perfect companion for anyone venturing into challenging high-mountain terrain. This two-piece carbon pole is not only lightweight but also extremely durable, making it ideal for extreme conditions. The sturdy metal FlickLock Pro mechanism allows you to effortlessly adjust the pole’s length, so it can flexibly adapt to different terrain conditions.
A special highlight of this model is the innovative Whippet attachment on the handle, which provides additional safety on steep terrain. The ergonomic handles are covered with EVA foam and feature an extension that allows for comfortable handling. In addition, a straight edge is integrated into the handle, making it easier to remove ice and snow from the skis. The practical “rubber beak” on the handle allows for easy adjustment of the ski bindings during the ascent.
Another useful feature is the PH3 screwdriver bit integrated into the lower section of the shaft, as well as the 1.5-mm hex bit, which allow for quick repairs on the go. The anchor-stitch straps can be quickly removed if necessary, offering additional flexibility. The Expedition Carbon Pro Whippet combines functionality with a well-thought-out design, making it an indispensable tool for mountaineers and skiers.
