The Blitz 20 Backpack from Black Diamond is the perfect companion for challenging mountain adventures and ambitious projects. Designed with the expertise gained from decades of experience in the mountains, this backpack offers everything you need for a fast and efficient ascent to the summit. Made from the new BD UHWMPE “Mini Rip” 100d fabric, the Blitz 20 combines durability, lightness, and packability in a single product.
A special feature is the one-handed closure, which not only makes packing easier but also protects against moisture. For added comfort and to save weight, you can use the removable Bivy Pad. The integrated Pick Pockets™, featuring a custom-made metal ice axe holder, provide secure storage for ice axes, while the red rope loop is always easily accessible.
Another highlight of the Blitz 20 is its hydration system compatibility, which ensures that you’re always well-hydrated, even on longer hikes. With a material blend of 87% nylon, 7% PE, and 6% polyester for the body, as well as a 100% polyester lining, this backpack is perfectly equipped for the challenges of mountaineering.

The new Blitz backpacks have all the features needed for a quick ascent to the summit. They are made from our new BD UHWMPE u201eMini Ripu201c 100d fabric, offering an ideal balance between ultra-robust, ultra-light and extremely packable material. The single-handed closure simplifies the system while protecting against moisture ingress. The removable bivy pad can be used to save even more weight if required. The red rope strap is easy to find and the Pick Pocketsu2122 offer a particularly high level of safety for ice tools with the new, specially designed metal ice tool holder. The device for a hydration system rounds off the range of functions for an ideal summit backpack.
