Prizm and Iridium in the name

According to Oakley, Prizm lenses are designed to enhance colour and contrast, and Prizm Snow to show terrain and contours in the snow more clearly. Iridium stands for a coating against glare. Oakley sorts the lenses by light: bright sun, sun and cloud, snow and cloud.

Frame size and helmet size

On the ski goggles, the frame size is in the name, such as Target Line S and M or Flight Deck L. According to Oakley, Flight Deck L and Line Miner L have a large fit. Oakley gives helmet sizes for each model as head circumference, for the MOD1 Mips S 51–55, M 55–59 and L 59–63 cm.

Crash replacement for helmets

According to Oakley, a helmet can be damaged invisibly in an impact and should then be replaced. For this case, Oakley has a crash replacement: once only, within three years of purchase and for the original owner only. You apply for it with proof of purchase through Oakley customer service.

Frequently asked questions

Will ski goggles fit over my glasses?

On the Flight Deck L and Line Miner L, yes. According to Oakley, the frames have cut-outs at the temples so that prescription glasses fit comfortably underneath.

How do I change the lens?

On the Flight Deck, the Ridgelock system holds the lens; according to Oakley, this makes it quick to swap. Oakley offers replacement lenses for selected models. On the MOD7 visor helmet, you release the visor with a button on each side.

Do helmet and ski goggles go together?

According to Oakley, the MOD3 is designed to match Oakley ski goggles, and the Line Miner fits most helmets. Both sit correctly when there's hardly any gap between the helmet edge and the goggles, and the helmet doesn't push the goggles down onto your nose.

MOD3, MOD5 or MOD7?

According to Oakley, all three have Mips. The MOD3 is light and low-profile, with a BOA dial and adjustable ventilation. On the MOD5, you control several ventilation zones against fogged goggles and overheating. The MOD7 is helmet and visor in one; the Prizm visor attaches magnetically via Secure Connect.

How do I care for lenses and helmet?

According to Oakley, clean the lenses only with an Oakley Microbag or the Lens Cleaning Kit, as other cleaners can damage them. Clean the helmet only with water and mild soap, and don't store it in the sun or in a hot place.
