Maier Sports

The Swabian pants specialist
The Maier Sports brand was founded in 1938 as Immanuel Maier GmbH in the small town of Köngen near Stuttgart. Here, in front of the Swabian Alb, the company headquarters is still located today. In the 70s, the textile company then developed into a successful clothing manufacturer in the ski and tennis sector. Soon outdoor clothing was also part of the product range. In the meantime Maier Sports has become an established name in the ski and outdoor industry and is regarded as a specialist especially in the areas of trousers and fitting.
The motto of the manufacturer is: "What has to be functional, has to fit first of all." Therefore Maier Sports offers 60 different sizes of trousers. Whether standard, tight or wide, short or long - everyone will find the right fit here.
In addition to the Maier Sports brand, Maier Sports GmbH also owns Gonso, an expert in cycling clothing.

Responsibility for people and nature
The topic of sustainability plays an important role for Maier Sports in relation to people and nature. As part of its social responsibility, the manufacturer has been a member of the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) since 2011, which is committed to improving working conditions in the textile industry. Since 2014 Maier Sports is also part of the Alliance for Sustainable Textiles..
In addition to fair treatment of its employees, the company attaches great importance to sustainable production. This is why the "Mission Clean Function" was launched in 2012. With this Maier Sport commits itself to use materials that are harmless to humans and the environment. This includes, for example, an alternative impregnation of the products without harmful per- and polyfluorinated chemicals (PFC).
