Gonso x PrimaLoft® Collection 2021/2022
Cycling is only possible in summer? Not at all! Autumn and winter are also great for biking - provided you have the right clothing. To keep you warm and dry on the saddle even in cold weather, the cycling specialists at Gonso have developed a PrimaLoft® collection. We present the new products for the winter season 2021/2022 in more detail here.
What is PrimaLoft®?
The principle thus works in a similar way to goose down, but with the difference that PrimaLoft® still warms even when it is wet. Another advantage is the unbeatable warmth-to-weight ratio. PrimaLoft® is extremely light, can be strongly compressed and thus packed compactly. Nevertheless, it offers very high thermal insulation.
Environmental sustainability also played a role in its development. The Gonso winter collection uses PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation 70% PCR. The material consists to 70 percent of recycled PET bottles.

Warm cycling pants for winter
Practical on cold winter days are the long hybrid bike pants MONTEMURO for men and ARGA for women. They are made of classic thermal material, but are equipped with PrimaLoft® inserts on the thighs and in the area of the loins. These not only provide excellent thermal insulation, but also keep out the cool riding wind and are water-repellent. In combination with the breathable thermal material, the two pants offer a perfect climate balance. On top, the sporty and close-fitting cut guarantees absolute freedom of movement.
As an alternative to the long bike pants, there are also winter bike shorts. The ALVAO M for men or ALVAO W for women made of PrimaLoft® can be easily pulled over any thermal cycling pants and thus provides additional warmth as needed. In this way, pants with seat padding can also be worn under the PrimaLoft® shorts.
Warming cycling jackets and vests
The TOMAR cycling jacket for men and TEIXEIRA for women ensure ideal thermal regulation - even in very cold temperatures. The sporty PrimaLoft® jacket with stand-up collar warms and is also windproof, water-repellent and equipped with reflective elements.
If it is still a bit too warm for the jacket, you can fall back on the PrimaLoft® vest RUIVO (men) or PENEDA (women). The cycling vest keeps the torso warm, but is particularly light. The close fit as well as the elastic hem and armholes ensure freedom of movement. A breathable insert is integrated into the back.
Equipped for any weather
When it's not only cold but also wet in winter, you're perfectly equipped with the waterproof functional jackets SAVE THERM (men) and SURA THERM (women). The warm inner layer with PrimaLoft® paired with its outer layer of G-TEX material offers uncompromising weather protection against rain and wind. With ergonomically pre-shaped sleeves, an elastic hood neckline and a wide fit, the two models are also perfect for bike touring. The jackets are available in bright colors that are easy to see even in the dark, but also more subtle in blue and black.
