Holmenkol

A long tradition in ski sports
Founded in 1922, Holmenkol is the oldest ski wax brand in the world. The manufacturer stands out through its expertise and high standards for materials. According to the manufacturer, only products developed according to the latest knowledge, tested under the most demanding conditions and produced under the most modern conditions deserve the "license to win" seal.
Today, the product range includes ski waxes as well as cleaning and care products. Holmenkol keeps delivery routes short and produces in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia. The manufacturer thus supplies products of the highest quality and maximum functionality - "Made in Germany".

Eco-certified - The Natural Ski Wax Bar
Holmenkol is the world's first eco-certified ski wax supplier. The Natural Ski Wax Bar is known not only for its uncomplicated, quick application but also for its environmental friendliness.
The Nordic SWAN Eco Label is a renowned Scandinavian certificate awarded to products with a particularly low environmental impact during manufacturing. Among other things, certified products must consist of at least 90 percent renewable raw materials.

Sustainability beyond production
All products in Holmenkol's Natural Ski Wax series are biodegradable in accordance with OECD 301. After 28 days, over 60 percent of the ingredients have already broken down. For Holmenkol, sustainability doesn't end with the ingredients.
The manufacturer is also increasingly turning to more sustainable packaging solutions, such as recycled plastic and uncoated paper. Step by step, the German ski wax maker is also working to use recyclates - plastics that have already been recycled at least once. On top of that, the use of green electricity and its own in-house photovoltaic system keep energy consumption low.
Through these efforts, Holmenkol has already saved up to 5 tons of waste, 70,000 kWh of electricity, 16.8 tons of CO2 and 375 cubic meters of water. True to its motto "We live outdoors, we love outdoors, we are outdoors," the manufacturer plans to keep following this path.
