Approach and via ferrata shoes are best suited for accessing rocks or for climbing in easy terrain. The sturdy rubber soles provide the necessary grip. In addition, approach shoes are equipped with a robust rubber coating on the toe. The loops at the heel make it easy to hang the shoes onto the climbing harness.
