The facts at a glance
Silva Free Runner 1100
High-performance headlamp with 1,100 lumens, four modes, a lightweight headband, and a rechargeable battery for a wide range of sports activities.
The Free Runner 1100 from Silva is the ideal headlamp for athletic activities and everyday use. With an impressive light output of 1,100 lumens and four adjustable brightness levels, it provides optimal visibility, whether you’re running, at the gym, or out and about in the city. The ultra-lightweight headband with an integrated fabric cable ensures a comfortable fit, as the battery is carried in the pouch rather than on the head, which improves balance and reduces weight.
Thanks to its modular design, light units, batteries, and mounts can be flexibly combined to meet individual needs. Silva Intelligent Light technology combines a focused high beam with a wide low beam, while Airflow technology helps cool the light, thereby increasing its light output. The slim 11.1 Wh battery, featuring USB-C charging and a battery indicator, can be fully charged in just three hours and provides up to 15 hours of light in Min mode.
The headlamp is water-resistant to the IPX5 standard, making it reliable even in adverse weather conditions. Weighing just 95 g without the battery, it is extremely lightweight and barely noticeable. The package includes the 1,100-lumen light unit, an ultra-lightweight headband, and the battery, so you’re ready to go right away.

Silva Free Runner 1100
Carry the battery separately
1,100 lm | up to 155 m | Rechargeable battery
The essentials
- ✓A good fit if you want to carry the battery in your vest instead of on your head while running
- ✓A good fit if you are looking for an additional light boost for dark trail sections
- –Less so if you expect 1100 lumens continuously: Speed mode depends on cooling

Our take
The Free Runner 1100 reduces the weight on your head while trail running: the 96-g battery sits in a pocket or running vest and connects via the cable on the headband. For normal Max mode, Silva specifies 900 lumens and a 130 m range. It reaches 1100 lumens in Speed mode with sufficient cooling.
