Customizable Carrying System The easy-to-adjust Dry Back Custom carrying system features an adjustable back length; the shoulder straps, lumbar support, and hip belt are anatomically shaped and padded. Position-adjustable straps further ensure an optimal fit over long distances, and the pre-shaped hip fins guarantee that the belt fits perfectly and distributes the weight evenly across your hips. Thanks to its lightweight construction, the backpack remains lightweight. With its padded EVA back panel and 3D ventilation channels, the Dry Back System promotes air circulation and breathability—in both summer and winter—while the split shoulder straps ensure that this backpack offers plenty of freedom of movement despite its size. Focus on Functionality The Trek Mate is made from lightweight, abrasion-resistant double-ripstop polyester and features a reinforced bottom. Large storage compartments offer plenty of space for a change of clothes or tent poles, and there’s also a separate front pocket. The front access allows you to reach the main compartment quickly and easily. If needed, the backpack can also be expanded by an additional 5 liters of storage space thanks to the height-adjustable lid—super practical if, for example, you want to bring a larger trekking tent. Securely Attached Gear The Trek Mate features a protected zippered compartment for valuables and various external attachment options for trekking poles and other gear. Practical daisy-chain loops and additional straps can be used, for example, to secure a sleeping pad to the outside of the backpack, freeing up more space inside. The Trek Mate can be combined with a hydration system as well as the SALEWA® bottle holder and smartphone pocket. A rain cover is also included.
