The facts at a glance
Rab Descendor 40
The Descendor 40 from Rab is a versatile backpack designed specifically for outdoor adventures. With a volume of 40 liters, it offers ample space for multi-day ski tours, extended climbing trips, and other mountain activities. The backpack is equipped with the TRI-FLEX™ back system, which fits snugly and ensures both mobility and stability. A removable aluminum back panel provides additional support and can be removed if necessary to save weight.
The Descendor 40 stands out with numerous practical features: A zippered security pocket protects valuables, while the hip belt is equipped with an easy-to-open buckle, a large pocket, and a gear loop. For skiers, the backpack offers both an A-frame and a diagonal ski attachment system to enable quick and secure storage. Splitboards can be transported safely using a removable snowboard strap.
The design features a main compartment with a roll-top closure, a side zipper, and internal dividers that create a separate bottom compartment. This compartment allows for quick access to essential gear such as skins or crampons. There is also a dedicated compartment for avalanche gear. The backpack also offers storage space for a helmet and ice axe, which can be securely attached to the designated mounting points. The integrated RECCO® technology enhances safety by helping rescue teams quickly locate the wearer in an emergency.
