The Midgard tent can be set up with only two poles in the main tent and the A frame in each entrance. Two more poles can be used to stabilize the tent. You can continue to enjoy the "pole-free" experience that is the Midgard, as none of the extra poles restrict your living space. Of course, the poles also serve as replacement poles, giving you the opportunity to extend the life of your Nordisk tent many times over. So if you lose, break or bend one of your Nordisk Midgard poles, you don't have to worry: just replace the damaged pole with a new custom-made replacement pole. Even if there's no damage, a set of replacement poles is always good to take along for tarps or other extra rigging. All Nordisk replacement poles have removable bungs that allow the poles to be shortened and adjusted for other purposes, of course in the well-known Nordisk quality. The tent poles are made of aluminum, providing a strong but lightweight alternative to steel.
