The TX Guide by La Sportiva is the most technical shoe in the TX series and was developed specifically for demanding approach routes and climbing. It is designed for mountain guides and climbers who need a durable and high-performance product. The shoe is versatile and combines walking, running, and approach hiking with a design inspired by both trail running and technical climbing solutions. With its lightweight and protective construction, the TX Guide offers a dry, snug fit that enables maximum performance.
Of particular note is the abrasion-resistant upper, which consists of a single layer and features internal microfiber reinforcements as well as external TPU reinforcements for added abrasion resistance. The asymmetrical, approach-style lacing ensures a precise fit, while the rear of the shoe is reminiscent of the Mythos style, providing perfect heel support. The protective rand, inspired by climbing, uses PU-Tech Lite™ for added protection.
The TX Guide’s sole construction stands out thanks to its Vibram® MegaGrip and Idrogrip two-component outsole, which combines both traction and durability. The cushioning, double-compressed EVA midsole in the heel and the stabilizer in the forefoot provide additional comfort and protection. The pronounced heel design makes it easier to brake during descents and increases traction during ascents, making the TX Guide an indispensable companion for challenging mountain hikes.
