Katadyn Vario Filter
Anyone out and about will encounter new water conditions every day. Sometimes the water is clear, sometimes cloudy and sometimes it smells of chemicals. The ceramic pre-filter removes particles and suspended matter, and the glass fiber filter keeps bacteria and protozoa at bay. The activated carbon ensures that unpleasant odors have no chance and chemicals are reduced. This Katadyn pump filter relies on ceramic as a cleanable dirt filter and on glass fiber as a microbiological filter with low pump resistance. The ceramic disk can be switched on in "LONGER LIFE" mode for cloudy water at an output of 1 L/min. In "FASTER FLOW" mode, the glass fiber filter is directly flowed against and the pump capacity is increased to up to 2 L/min. A double pump mechanism ensures continuous performance with minimal effort, and the rubber base gives the filter a secure stand. The integrated bottle thread fits directly onto Nalgene bottles (large opening). The service life is up to 2,000 liters, but this depends on the water quality.
