Katadyn Vario Filter

Anyone out and about encounters new water conditions every day. Sometimes the water is clear, sometimes cloudy, and sometimes it smells like chemicals. The ceramic prefilter removes particles and suspended matter, and the glass fiber filter keeps bacteria and protozoa at bay. The activated carbon ensures that annoying odors don't stand a chance and chemicals are reduced. This Katadyn pump filter relies on ceramic as a cleanable dirt filter and fiberglass as a low pumping resistance microbiological filter. The ceramic disc can be switched on in "LONGER LIFE" mode for turbid water at a rate of 1L/min. In "FASTER FLOW" mode, the fiberglass filter is directly flowed to and the pumping capacity is increased up to 2L/min. A dual pump mechanism ensures continuous performance with minimal effort, and the rubber base gives the filter a secure stand. The integrated bottle thread fits directly onto Nalgene bottles (large opening). The service life is up to 2'000 liters, but this depends on the water quality.
