The facts at a glance
Helly Hansen Alpha Lifaloft Jacket
High-performance ski jacket with LIFALOFT™ insulation and numerous practical features for maximum comfort and safety.
The Men's Alpha Lifaloft Insulated Ski Jacket by Helly Hansen is the perfect choice for skiers who value comfort and functionality. This men’s ski jacket features innovative LIFALOFT™ insulation from Primaloft®, which provides optimal thermal insulation without making the jacket heavy or bulky. Thanks to the 4-way stretch fabric, the jacket offers unrestricted freedom of movement, while fully taped seams and a DWR treatment protect against moisture.
Featuring an adjustable and removable hood that’s helmet-compatible, as well as an elastic snow skirt, the jacket adapts flexibly to a variety of conditions. Practical details such as a ski pass pocket, a chest pocket with an integrated goggle cleaning cloth, and several zippered pockets provide ample storage space and make it easy to organize your gear. The anti-chafing chin guard and elastic cuffs with thumb holes further enhance comfort.
Ventilation openings under the arms and on the back ensure optimal airflow, allowing for personalized temperature regulation. The jacket also features the RECCO® Advanced Rescue System, which enhances safety on the slopes, and a LIFE POCKET+™, which extends the battery life of mobile devices in cold temperatures. The eye-catching design, with an embossed logo and neon color, also gives it a modern look.

The essentials
- ✓A good fit if you want low-bulk insulation when packing for your ski trip
- ✓A good fit if you want to release heat through openings under the arms and at the back
- –Less so if you want an uninsulated shell: The Alpha LIFALOFT has built-in insulation.
What is it for?
Our take
If you want to pack light for your ski days, the Alpha LIFALOFT offers warm insulation without much bulk. Openings under the arms and at the back let you release heat while skiing; the removable hood fits over your helmet.

How to measure
- 1. Height:Stand up straight with your feet and back against a wall. Place a flat object (e.g. book) on your head and hold it horizontally against the wall. Now you can measure from the bottom edge of the object to the floor.
- 2. Waist:Measured the waist circumference below the navel. The measuring tape should not constrict the belly keeping the tape horizontal around the body.
- 3. Inseam length:Measured on the inside of the leg from the crotch to below the ankle.
