Edelrid Rage

The Edelrid Rage is an extremely versatile ice axe designed specifically for challenging mixed and ice routes. With its aggressive shaft curve and generous clearance beneath the head, it offers secure positioning in any situation. The ergonomically shaped handle with a finger hole ensures a firm grip when swinging, while the TPR material provides a secure grip on both the upper and lower sections of the handle. For smaller hands or when climbing with thin gloves, the handle can be individually adjusted using the included spacer.
The Rage’s modular system allows for extensive customization to suit various conditions and applications. An optional accelerator can increase the flywheel mass, while a matching waterfall blade made of hardened steel is available for specialized requirements. The mixed pick features a continuous 4-mm cross-section, which provides greater strength under torsional loads and enables a longer service life through more frequent resharpening. The additional serrations on the pick head ensure stable placement during rock pulls.
The load-bearing aluminum spike, which can withstand a load of up to 6 kN, is equipped with an opening for attaching a carabiner. An Allen wrench is included in the package for making adjustments. The device comes with a Hammer Lite, which, however, is not suitable for driving pitons. This versatile companion is ideal for activities such as hiking, rock climbing, ice climbing, and alpine climbing.
