Dale of Norway Dalestølen Masc Sweater

The Dalestølen merino wool sweater is a sportier, lighter version of the Dale of Norway Cortina 1956 sweater. The Dalestølen is made from 100% skin-soft merino wool and features an updated version of the Cortina pattern and a high neckline with a quarter-zip. The pattern is derived from the Dale of Norway Cortina sweater from 1956—our very first Olympic sweater, produced for the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo. The Cortina pattern embodies the essence of Norwegian tradition and has become one of Norway’s most popular patterns. Dalestølen is named after a summer farm in the steep mountains around Dale. In earlier times, this farm served as summer pasture for cattle and sheep. Today, it is a popular hiking destination, offering magnificent views of the mountainous Dale region.
