Remarkable shell material What makes this jacket, whose name refers to the legendary Sella Towers in the Dolomites, so special is its remarkable innovative Powertex Responsive shell material. The three-layer laminate was developed specifically for use on alpine terrain and ski mountaineering and is therefore extremely abrasion resistant. It also offers impressive functionality: it is waterproof (water column: 20,000 mm), windproof, breathable (MVTR: 20,000 g/m²/24 h) and last but not least very comfortable to wear. Because we are committed to sustainability, this material is completely PFC-free. "Recycling" of far infrared radiation (FIR) On the inside, Powertex Responsive is provided with an innovative smart technology. A thermoreactive print containing a unique blend of different minerals results in additional positive material properties. Responsive absorbs the body's far infrared radiation (FIR) and gradually releases it back to the muscle tissue, even when you wear several other layers under the Responsive material. The result: stronger blood circulation, higher cell performance and better oxygen supply. As a result, you perform better, recover faster and stay warm longer. Made for the mountains The Sella Responsive offers the full range of functions you need in the mountains, such as the special cut for optimal freedom of movement, so that the hem does not slide up when climbing, and the ergonomic sleeves and shoulders. The storm hood with preformed peak can be adjusted in the back with one hand and it is ergonomically cut to fit over a helmet. Thanks to the taped seams and Velcro-adjustable cuffs, rain and snow stay out, and the long zippers to the ends of the sleeves allow you to let air in when you need it. The jacket has two front waterproof zippered pockets, a large chest pocket that won't be covered by your climbing or backpacking harness, and two large interior stretch pockets. Other details include an elasticized hem that you can easily adjust with one hand, even when wearing gloves, and a stretch material snow skirt with side snap closure.
