The Pedroc Hybrid Wind Alpha® jacket is Salewa's most versatile speed hiking jacket and can be quickly transformed into a vest thanks to its zip-off sleeves. Its design offers you lasting comfort and protection against overheating or hypothermia without the need to undress or change clothes. For heavy physical exertion, this jacket features a lightweight (315g), hybrid construction with active insulation from Polartec® Alpha® Direct and Polartec® Alpha® Recycled and breathable Durastretch inserts. In combination they regulate comfort in changing alpine conditions: through constant warmth, but greater breathability through air exchange and moisture-wicking heat transfer. The more you move, the stronger the effect of Polartec® Alpha®. Alpha® Direct fibers have no backing fabric and therefore lie directly on the skin or fabric layers. This means they offer better breathability and lower weight. When you move, the insulation is breathable and absorbs moisture. When you take a break, it keeps your warmth inside. For added weather protection, the water repellent outer fabric has a PFC-free, durably water repellent DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish. The Pedroc Hybrid Wind Alpha® Softshell Jacket for men has a slim, athletic fit and a chest pocket. It weighs 315 grams and dries quickly. It features a stand-up collar, a full-length storm flap inside and elasticated cuffs to protect against the wind. It is also treated with temperature-regulating Polygiene® for permanent odour control, so it stays fresh longer and requires less frequent washing.
