Lightweight hybrid jacket for men that provides warm and breathable protection during speed hiking in the mountains during the colder months. This jacket is designed for stop-and-go activities such as speed hiking in autumn and winter, where periods of intense physical activity are followed by static phases with the risk of hypothermia. The Pedroc TirolWool® Celliant® /Polarlite Jacket is a light, warm and breathable jacket for fast movements in cold conditions. To ensure the right mix of insulation performance and breathability, the Pedroc TirolWool® Celliant® /Polarlite Jacket is made of TirolWool® Celliant®, Salewa's proprietary hybrid technology insulation filling. TirolWool® Celliant® combines the natural advantages of wool from Tyrolean mountain sheep with a high lanolin content with ultra-modern, heat-regulating technology. The wool keeps you warm even when damp, helps to regulate body temperature and inhibits the formation of odours. Celliant® is a patented blend of thermoreactive minerals that are pulverized and melted into a resin that is then incorporated into the core of recycled polyester fibers. It has the unique ability to convert the radiant heat of the body into infrared light, store it and gradually release it back into the body. This stimulates circulation and blood flow, while maintaining a long-lasting insulating effect and accelerating recovery. We use TirolWool® Celliant® on the front, while on the back and sleeves warm, air-permeable Polarlite Active Fleece provides additional breathability. The strategically placed light and windproof nylon outer material is given water-repellent properties by a DWR (DWR=Durable Water Repellent) finish. Two zippered side pockets offer plenty of storage for things you need to have close at hand. In addition, this jacket can be stored in its side pocket, which also functions as a compression pocket.
