It wicks moisture away from the body and dries quickly. The synthetic fibers are enhanced with Salewa's patented Responsive technology. It is based on a special blend of natural, thermoreactive minerals that recycle the body's far infrared energy (FIR) and release it slowly. This leads to improved performance as well as faster recovery and also keeps you warm longer. These benefits are maintained throughout the life of the fabric, as Responsive is an integral part of the fabric and does not wash out. Alpine Merino Responsive is also bluesign® certified.Innovative knit constructionThe Cristallo is made with a special knitting process that spins a superfine merino yarn around a nylon core. This process makes the resulting fiber not only stronger and fluffier, but also 30% lighter than comparable baselayer fibers. In addition, the high polyamide content improves its durability and stretch properties. The baselayer has a body-hugging fit with a round neck and integrated gusset in the underarm area for more freedom of movement.
