Robust, waterproof, windproof and breathable men's trousers for ski mountaineering and mountaineering in winter. Our Antelao Powertex 3L shell trousers offer weather protection and freedom of movement for various mountain activities, from ski mountaineering and day trips on skis to winter mountaineering and ice climbing. The waterproof, windproof, 3-layer Powertex Extreme outer fabric has taped seams and a DWR finish (DWR=Durable Water Repellent). Powertex® is Salewa's own developed weather protection coating, specially created for mountain sports. At its heart is an extremely thin polyurethane (PU) membrane that provides lasting protection against water, as its microscopic pores are much smaller than water droplets. At the same time, the pores of the membrane are also much larger than water vapour molecules that are released when you sweat, allowing them to escape from your clothing. This makes the membrane both waterproof and breathable. To offer more protection against ski edges and crampons, we have reinforced the hem and the inside of the leg with abrasion-resistant CORDURA®. It has a removable, extra high cut, elastic and windproof waistband with adjustable suspenders. To ensure mobility and freedom of movement, we have designed the Antelao Powertex 3L shell pants with an ergonomic waistband and pre-shaped knees. And just in case you need to cool down a bit on the climb, there are two side ventilation zips on the thigh.
