The Salewa Alpinist Pro crampon is suitable for vertical ice routes in the Puster Valley to challenging mixed mountain terrain in the Alps and everything in between. It is a versatile, robust stainless steel step crampon for technical ice climbing, mixed routes and mountaineering. Its 3D carbon steel frame construction features a strong, lightweight, semi-rigid design that allows it to attach to boots with heel and toe edges, including ski boots. The reliable horizontal frontal toes provide solid grip and load transfer on steep waterfall ice and horizontal rock edges. The overall geometry and semi-aggressive secondary prongs provide better grip on ice and snow. The additional spikes in the midfoot area provide extra safety on icy combs. In addition to its strong and lightweight design, this automatic crampon stands out for its unique adjustable-length straps - no more loose ends. They drastically reduce the risk of tripping. The Pro version is also equipped with the Salewa Lock System®. The curved, studded anti-slip plates cover the entire underside, minimizing snow clumping. The flat heel bar with precise adjustment wheel ensures a secure fit and additional precision. This crampon can also be adjusted quickly and easily on the go and requires no tools.
