La Sportiva Olympus Mons Cube

Olympus Mons Cube is the ultimate in technology for thermal mountaineering in the Himalayas, ice crossings and extreme use in very cold conditions. It is the first high-altitude mountaineering boot that is compatible with tech bindings thanks to its toe insert for skialp bindings, making it the ideal footwear for crossings at the Southand North Pole. With its advanced solutions, it guarantees: thermals, lightness, quick donning and doffing, safety and water repellency. From a technological point of view, it contains the latest of the latest and is produced directly in the production center in Val di Fiemme, at the foot of the Dolomites. The new model has low external volumes, yet it is a warm expedition boot with a removable liner that is lighter than its predecessor. This certainly makes it the lightest boot in its category. The super clean and seamless design comes from the thermal welding on the inside and the UltraSound Welded technology, which allows materials to be seamlessly joined together. Thanks to the Corner Zip™ zipper along the entire gaiter, it can be opened completely and thus facilitates access to the inner boot with its quick BOA® Fit System closures, which can also be easily operated with gloves. The two BOA® fasteners allow differentiated lacing at the top/bottom of the liner. The thermal inner boot has been equipped with an additional insulating layer. It can be easily removed for easier drying, for example at base camp. The incredible lightness is also thanks to the Vibram® Litebase + Vibram® Morflex sole, which has high insulating properties and combines stamped rubber with a specific fabric layer for rubber reduction and uses an exclusive combination of abrasion-resistant expansion materials.
