M's Bouncer Jacket

What makes it special? Men’s Bouncer Jacket is the Houdini interpretation of an extra everything expedition style insulation jacket. Maximum warmth at minimum weight, that’s the basic idea, but The Houdini design team has put a massive effort into the little details that makes the garment feel better to wear: The stretchy, smooth and silent fabric, the heat barriers at all exposure points, the exquisite Primaloft® Rise padding. It also follows the top standard for Houdini sustainability: Recycled and recyclable, PFAS free and made without stealing the feathers off any birds. How does it work? The key feature of Men's Bouncer Jacket is the high grade of insulation and the low weight. This is made possible by the all-new padding Primaloft® Black Insulation Rise, a state-of-the-art synthetic padding featuring a completely new structure that allows us to build more loft than ever before. And more fluff means more warmth. It is also made from recycled contents and is fully recyclable. We use synthetic padding from Primaloft® because of the performance benefits, but also because we don’t believe in keeping birds for their feathers. Keeping living beings caged up so that we can roam the great outdoors simply feels wrong. Especially when modern technology does the job better. Men's Bouncer Jacket is made of two fabrics: Surpass 2.5 Hardshell and Spinner Ripstop. The waterproof shell fabric over your chest, head and shoulders. The light, highly breathable ripstop over your back and stomach. This creates the perfect balance between weather protection and inner microclimate. What should I use it for? Men's Bouncer Jacket is made to keep you warm when the winds blow and temperature drops well below freezing. The durable construction in combination with the lightweight warmth and weather protection is designed for demanding adventures and high alpine environments. Climbing expeditions, alpine skiing and long, weather exposed winter days. This garment is recyclable and we kindly ask you to return it to Houdini at the end of its lifetime. We can use the materials to create new products, eliminate waste and save our planet’s precious resources. Houdini recycling units can be found in all Houdini stores and at many retailers.

    Care instructions

    • Airing laundry instead of washing it saves water and energy and extends the life of the garments.
    • Use our wash bag to protect your clothes and prevent fiber leakage. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure you clean it and throw the lint in the trash can. Never rinse it in water, as we don't want the fibers to end up in lakes or oceans.
    • Machine wash cold
    • Use mild, environmentally certified cleaning agents and use an appropriate dose.
    • Avoid fabric softener. This is not only harmful to our environment, but also negatively affects the performance of clothing, especially moisture transport and breathability.
    • Hang the shell out to dry. Just remember to apply heat to the garment after washing to reactivate the water repellent surface of the shell fabric. Use a drying cabinet, dryer or iron. Make sure that the heat is well dosed so that the garment does not melt.

    Technologies and manufacturing processes

    • Spheric 2-layer Hardshell™

Supple, soft and quiet. The stretch hardshell is waterproof, breathable, lightweight and has a small pack size.
    • Spinner Ripstop™

Tightly woven ripstop polyester. Water repellent, extremely windproof, ultra lightweight and stowable.
    • PrimaLoft® Black Insulation Rise

A very durable and fast drying alternative to down. Exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio and ultimate loft.
    • Lined product

Our lined garments are made with Primaloft synthetic insulation. Synthetic padding has many advantages over down: You do not have to dry the garment with balls in the dryer to regain its shape, it dries faster and does not smell when damp.
    • Circular

This product is completely circularly produced. Means: It is made from either recycled and recyclable fibers. Most products in today's society have a linear life cycle where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then thrown away. This doesn't work in the long run and has a big impact on the environment. Instead, we want to close the production cycle and reuse materials we already have. But we need your help. If one day your Houdini apparel is completely worn out, please bring it back to us. We have recycling units in all Houdini stores and at many of our retailers.
    • Recycled

At least 50% of the fibers in this product come from recycled sources. Either from recycled clothing or other origin, such as from PET bottles. We use mainly recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water consumption compared to virgin polyester. By how much depends on the recycled type. One of our suppliers, for example, brings it to 32% reduced CO2 emissions and 94% lower water consumption for mechanically recycled polyester. In addition to the impact of production, Houdini's main approach is to reuse supposed "waste" as raw materials instead of original virgin crude.
    • Recyclable

The material of this product is fully recyclable. Instead of becoming waste, the raw material can be used for new products. Our goal is to remove no more new raw materials from the earth's crust by 2030. Circular products made from recycled or recyclable materials can truly change the game of manufacturing culture. We need your help, though. If your Houdini apparel is completely worn out, please bring it back to us. We have recycling units in all of our own stores and at many of our retailers.
