Bakosi Jacket #1

The BLACKYAK BAKOSI jacket is probably one of the most special insulation jackets on the market. Hardly any other insulation jacket consists of so many different high-quality components. Everything is built in where you need it. The outer material is made of extremely abrasion-resistant CORDURA Rip Stop. The upper part of the jacket is filled with 750 Cuin RDS certified, water-repellent goose down. PrimaLoft® Gold is integrated in the lower areas. POLARTEC® Alpha® is used on the stretchable back panel to reduce sweating to a minimum when carrying a backpack. The two mesh pockets on the chest allow you to quickly and efficiently store important items such as gloves or sunglasses. The additional gear loops can also be used to quickly park a carabiner before heading to the next pitch.

Technologies and manufacturing processes

  • POLARTEC Alpha®

You need a superior insulation system for extreme temperature fluctuations and the start-stop conditions of sports activities. Active Polartec Alpha® insulation is engineered for consistent warmth while allowing for increased breathability during activity. This air exchange technology creates sustained comfort without shedding layers, which is not an option during a mission.
  • POLARTEC Grid™

The patented grid construction knit reinforces performance efficiency by increasing warmth and breathability while reducing fabric bulk. These geometric patterns improve compressibility, moisture wicking and provide technical style. Reinventing thermal warmth capabilities, Polartec Power Grid™ is a minimalist design that maximizes fabric performance.
  • Cordura

CORDURA® is the brand name for a collection of fabrics used in a wide range of products such as luggage, backpacks, trousers, military and functional clothing. CORDURA® fabrics are known for their durability and resistance to abrasion, tearing and scuffing. CORDURA® fabrics are usually made of nylon, but can also be blended with cotton or other natural fibres.
  • PrimaLoft® Gold

PrimaLoft® is a synthetic microfiber thermal insulation. PrimaLoft® insulation is used in insulated garments for its warmth, compressibility and soft comfort. While the human body uses energy to stay warm, PrimaLoft® insulation uses a proprietary microfiber structure that helps the body retain heat and conserve energy.
