Revised for 2019, the Black Diamond Stance Belay Parka is designed for belaying in very cold temperatures. Suitable for both the crag and long alpine routes, it will keep you warm while your climbing partner climbs on the other end of the rope. The reworked Stance is Black Diamond's warmest synthetic jacket. With a new, more durable shell with PFC-free DWR treatment and two layers of fluffy ThermoLite® insulation, the parka offers outstanding warmth even when wet. The two-way zipper provides access to the backup unit. The large chest pockets, hand pockets and throw-in pockets inside provide storage for gloves, drink bottles and other essential items.

How to measure

1. Collar circumference:
Measured around the larynx. Measured at the level of the larynx. The tape should not constrict and must be passed around the neck horizontally.
2. Chest:
Measure the circumference at the widest part of the chest (under the armpits)
3. Sleeve length:
The distance from top of shoulder joint to arm wrist. Angle the arm slightly and pass the tape through the elbow as well.
4. Waist:
Measured the waist circumference below the navel. The measuring tape should not constrict the belly keeping the tape horizontal around the body.
5. Hips:
Measure the hips circumference at the fullest part of the seat keeping the tape horizontal around the body.
